The Shipyard was founded in 1963 by Francesco Del Carlo, born in 1927. The activity, held in the historic Dock in Viareggio, mainly concerned the construction of oak and pine vessels up to 25 meters in length in addition to the restructuring of working boats. Many of the boats built in the shipyard have been sailing even today and they  come regularly back for routine maintenance. Today the shipyard is mainly dedicated in restructuring wooden pleasure boats. Many wonderful, vintage boats restored by this shipyard, continue to be esteemed in rallies of vintage sails in Mediterranean sea.
